Welcome to
Your Community Foundation
Through a collection of funds, YCF fosters greater giving and volunteerism, builds endowments to ensure that grants are always available, and works hand-in-hand with thousands of local residents and donors to address our region's pressing challenges and most promising opportunities.
Hundreds of people have trusted our organization with their hearts and donations. Whether it's supporting education or athletics, the homeless or the arts, a new animal shelter or a clean environment . . . there's no end to the good we can do.

Empty Bowls Monongalia has established a new endowment fund with Your Community Foundation (YCF) to support local hunger relief projects in Monongalia County and to raise public awareness of food security and related issues.
"Empty Bowls Monongalia will continue to hold our annual luncheon to address immediate needs within the county, while the addition of this partnership assures that we are also looking beyond the present and ensuring a long-term commitment to our citizens," said Corey Farris, chairman of the Board of Directors.

Young Life Fund
In high school, Steve and Lynn LaCagnin’s three children became involved in an organization called Young Life. “It was a Godsend,” Steve said. “They learned how to have fun with their peers without drugs, alcohol and sex being involved. Our children and their friends developed a closer relationship with God and became confident young leaders. In short, Young Life gives youngsters a positive model to emulate as they grow up.”
To help share this experience with other children in the area, the LaCagnins created an endowment fund managed by YCF to provide continuing support for Young Life Leaders and programs.

Patriot Memorial Flag Fund
A local veterans' group and a non-profit charity are moving forward with plans to erect a giant American flag on the tallest flagpole in the area as part of the Korean War Memorial, being built at the East Marion County Park in Fairmont.
Contributions are still needed to purchase and erect the 30-by-50-foot Marion County Patriot Memorial Flag that will fly atop a 125-foot flagpole overlooking Interstate 79, where it will be visible for miles in any direction, according to Rick Hardman, designer of the project sponsored by Marion County Chapter 163 of the Korean War Veterans Association. "This flag will be a symbol of local pride and patriotism that people will be able to see, night and day, for many, many years to come."
